These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Link2Link website located at lil2link.com and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Link2Link ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.


1. Acceptance of Terms


By accessing, browsing, or using the Service—including creating an account, shortening a URL, or clicking on a shortened link—you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.


2. Eligibility


You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in jurisdictions where applicable) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.


3. Account Registration


Certain features of the Service require you to create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update such information as necessary. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate information or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.


4. Service Description


Link2Link provides a URL shortening platform with the following features and capabilities:

  • URL Shortening: Create shortened URLs that redirect to your specified destination addresses.
  • Security Scanning: Automated malware and threat scanning of all submitted URLs using multiple providers including Google Safe Browsing, CheckPhish, and IPQualityScore.
  • QR Code Generation: Automatic generation of QR codes for every shortened link, available in multiple sizes and high-resolution downloads.
  • Analytics: Click tracking, geographic insights, device and browser statistics, referrer data, and unique visitor counting.
  • Password Protection: Optional password-based access control for shortened links with session-based validation and secure encrypted storage.
  • Expiration Control: Configurable expiration dates for shortened links with graceful expiry handling.
  • Custom URLs: Ability to create custom aliases for shortened links (available as a paid feature or included in the Pro Bundle).
  • SMS Notifications: Optional SMS alerts for security events, account updates, and link activity (requires opt-in).

Features are offered across Free, Pay-Per-Feature, and Pro Bundle tiers as described on our website. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.


5. Use License and Permitted Use


Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for lawful personal and commercial URL shortening purposes. This license does not include the right to sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Service or any portion thereof.


6. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct


You are solely responsible for all content you link to through the Service. You agree that you will not use the Service to:

  • Create shortened links to websites or content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious software or code.
  • Engage in phishing, social engineering, or any form of fraud or deception.
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party.
  • Distribute unsolicited bulk messages (spam) or use shortened links in connection with spam campaigns.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service's security features, malware scanning, rate limiting, CAPTCHA challenges, or IP-based protections.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, our servers, or any systems connected to the Service.
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use, including exceeding the rate limit of 30 requests per minute.
  • Create links that redirect through multiple shortening services in a chain designed to obscure the final destination URL.
  • Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure.
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

We reserve the right to remove any shortened link and suspend or terminate any account that violates these prohibitions, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.


7. Security Scanning and Link Removal


All URLs submitted to the Service are automatically scanned against multiple malware and threat-intelligence databases before a shortened link is generated. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • We may refuse to create a shortened link for any URL that is flagged as malicious, suspicious, or potentially harmful by any of our scanning providers.
  • We may disable or remove previously created shortened links at any time if the destination URL is subsequently found to be malicious or in violation of these Terms.
  • Security scanning is performed on a best-effort basis. While we employ multiple providers and real-time threat detection, we do not guarantee that every malicious URL will be identified or blocked. Users click on shortened links at their own risk.
  • We may share flagged URLs with threat-intelligence providers and security researchers to protect the broader internet ecosystem.


8. Payments, Pricing, and Refunds


The Service offers both free and paid features. Paid features are available through our Pay-Per-Feature model and Pro Bundle as follows:

  • Pay-Per-Feature: Individual feature add-ons (e.g., Custom URLs at $0.49, No Expiration at $0.99, Password Protection at $0.49, No Ads at $0.49, Private Sharing at $0.49) are purchased on a per-link basis.
  • Pro Bundle: All features included at $1.99 per link, providing Custom URLs, No Expiration, Password Protection, Advanced Analytics, and Priority Support.

All prices are listed in US Dollars and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors and are subject to their terms of service. All purchases are final once the shortened link is generated. Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion in cases of technical failure where the Service did not perform as described. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time; changes will not affect previously completed purchases.


9. SMS/MMS Messaging Terms


If you opt in to receive SMS notifications from Link2Link, the following terms apply in addition to the SMS policy outlined in our Privacy Policy:

  • By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Link2Link related to security alerts, account updates, and link activity notifications.
  • Message frequency varies based on your account activity and notification preferences.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Link2Link is not responsible for any charges imposed by your wireless carrier.
  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message or by updating your preferences in your account settings. Upon opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you re-subscribe.
  • For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us through our support channels.
  • SMS opt-in consent and phone numbers are not shared with or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Supported carriers include but are not limited to major US carriers. Carrier availability may vary. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.


10. Intellectual Property


The Service, including its original content (excluding user-submitted URLs), features, functionality, design, logos, and branding, is and shall remain the exclusive property of Link2Link and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any portion of the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of the destination URLs you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process, scan, store, and redirect your submitted URLs solely for the purpose of providing the Service.


11. Privacy


Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including data collected through analytics, security scanning, account registration, payments, and SMS notifications. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.


12. Third-Party Services and Links


The Service integrates with third-party services for security scanning (Google Safe Browsing, CheckPhish, IPQualityScore), payment processing, and hosting. Additionally, shortened links redirect to third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by Link2Link. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party websites or services. Your interactions with third-party websites accessed through our shortened links are solely between you and that third party. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.


13. Disclaimer of Warranties


THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • All malicious URLs will be detected and blocked by our security scanning.
  • Shortened links will remain active or accessible indefinitely (links may be removed for policy violations or technical reasons).
  • Analytics data will be 100% accurate or complete.
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.


14. Limitation of Liability


TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LINK2LINK, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • Any malicious content accessed through shortened links, even if scanned by our security systems.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your account or data.
  • Removal or disabling of your shortened links for policy violations.
  • Any third-party conduct or content accessed through the Service.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100.00).


15. Indemnification


You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Link2Link and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) the content of any URLs you submit to the Service; (d) your violation of any rights of any third party; or (e) any claim that a URL you shortened caused harm to a third party.


16. Rate Limiting and Abuse Prevention


To maintain Service integrity and protect all users, we enforce rate limits of 30 requests per minute. We also employ IP-based security measures including automatic detection of suspicious activity, IP banning, CAPTCHA challenges, and IP whitelisting for administrators. Accounts or IP addresses found to be in violation of rate limits or engaged in abusive activity may be temporarily or permanently restricted from accessing the Service without prior notice.


17. Link Expiration and Availability


Shortened links created under the Free tier are subject to expiration. Users may configure custom expiration dates or purchase the "No Expiration" feature to keep links active indefinitely. We reserve the right to remove or disable any shortened link at any time for violations of these Terms, in response to legal requests, or for operational reasons. Expired links are handled through our graceful expiry process, which may provide visitors with information about the link's expiration status and access to the original destination at our discretion.


18. Termination


We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All shortened links associated with your account may be disabled. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to Sections 10, 13, 14, 15, and 20.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us through our support channels. Account termination does not entitle you to a refund of any previously purchased features.


19. Modifications to the Service and Terms


We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice (such as an email or in-app notification). Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service.


20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution


These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction for matters involving intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Service.


21. Severability


If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.


22. Entire Agreement


These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Link2Link regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings, whether written or oral.
